Ever hear of Marinette Arizona? It was an agricultural town along the railroad tracks of the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad on Grand Ave in the area of 105th Ave. When cotton and citrus economic viability took a hit after WW II the town eventually died off and in 1957, with the rise of Youngtown nearby, it became a ghost town. Del Webb started Sun City on it's remains in 1960. Just like Phoenix AZ, built on the remains of the Hohokam civilization, another true story of the Phoenix.
